Facebook……What is really going on with us?

Today I signed on to facebook  to look at some of my “friend’s” Facebook pages. Then I looked at some of the events and invitations that I had received from numerous people, and then I literally started to weep. I am trying to figure out what is going on with the men and women of God who profess they are Christians, profess they love the Lord Jesus Christ, and profess they want to see the Kingdom of God advanced by the salvation of their friends and loved ones.

I can’t believe the things we say and the things we allow to be said and left on our pages.  We have “friends” leaving videos on our “fun wall” of all type of nonsense, ranging from nudity to homosexual acts. To me there is absolutely nothing fun about receiving these type of things from people who say that they are our ”friends”. There is something wrong when our “friends” can’t respect us. That is exactly what it is when our “friends” send us trash that is not pleasing to God. Why is it that our “friends” send us things that are not alright in the sight of God IF they know where I stand in God? (maybe that is it….they DON’T know)

I am also in awe at the events that we as Christians have the nerve to say to the world that we are attending as if God is going to be glorified at that party or social gathering. I just can’t believe that we call ourselves representing God and then on the flipside allowing ourselves to conform to the things of this world. We can’t afford to go every place, because the truth of the matter is, whether you remember it or not, someone already knows you profess Jesus and if you show up your witness could be shot!

I really believe it is time for us to decide who we are representing. This life is BIGGER than us. There are people who need for us to LIVE the life so they can see that changing sides is worth it. Time out for all this TALKING, we need to see the WORD in flesh. It’s time for us to start cutting some “Christian” friends off, who are talking one way but living another. the Word says in 1 Corinthians 5: 9 – 13 (NIV) something like this:

9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or who are greedy or are swindlers or idol worshipers. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 What I meant was that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a Christian yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Don’t even eat with such people.12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your job to judge those inside the church who are sinning in these ways. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

We need to represent! It’s time out for us to be doing what everyone else is doing, saying what everyone else is saying, and struggling with what everyone else is struggling with.

WE ARE VICTORIOUS……Jesus only conquered this flesh because He was the WORD! So the more we become the WORD the more we can destroy the works of this flesh.

REMEMBER this brothers and sisters, we have to look different, sound different and act different. God’s name is on the line. We are going to be held accountable for how well or not so well we carry His name.

So get your FACE in His BOOK! and watch your life transform FOREVER!!!!
